How to actually progress after the bulls fight scene? He cut the bridge so I fall down and then stuck in the bone pit. I couldn't even get to see any "pervy" scene just the jerking off scene tho :(

You didn't get out of the pit? Did you get stuck in there?

The pit should open up and you're free to go. After that make sure you click on the sign.

Wow. Great concept. The kind of game I could see myself playing 24/7. The scene with the bull is fire. Still needs polishing though, like the walking and fighting animation, and a way to save progress.

now the game look like this and when I click on left it just goes black and I can't do anything more, if I click on the right the game closes.

how do i save the progress? and most important, how do i leave that room?

You can get stuck in there, but it's on my list. Anyway if you're down there, and you've talked to the bull, then that's the end. New content and a save feature are coming.

So I tried the game earlier, and it run well, but I've rebooted, and tried to play it again, and then it crashed, FYI.

As additional information, the Windows Events Viewer give me this information:

among other thing. Apparently the exception code refers to an access violation: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14949904/what-do-i-do-when-my-program-crashe...

So probably some pointer shenanigans going on :D.


As an additional info, I've tried to play it by extracting the .zip again, to no success (it crashed again), and also by removing the "AppData/Roaming/dirty corp" folder (no success either).

It does. That's its old preferences path, which I'm taking out now. The sigsegv is immediate? It could be that the thing is trying to re-create that old path.

Also, but it may absolutely be a red herring: I tried to launch the game with some program called 'ProcessActivityView', which tells what files are opened / modified by a program (which is how I found the AppData thingy), and the Textures path looks all wrong: 

(some path)\Windows 10+\Resources\Textures\ orsie.png
(some path)\Windows 10+\Resources\Textures\ iny triangle fill.png

and so on for every files in Textures: the first letter is missing from the path.

Keep in mind that
  - It could be a bug in the software I used to test that, I don't know how reliable it is
  - It was produced by the same executable that worked the first time.

So potentially a red herring.

This must be a ufo. If one file had failed to load, it would attempt to put up a dialog (which presently crashes SDL) and exit. But thank you for looking into this.

Love the desscription and what artwork I've seen so far. Just subbed to your Patreon also. But I can't launch the game on Win 10. Just opens a screen then instantly closes. Hopefully this will be fixed soon so I can try out the game.

The art is very good and the gameplay is different from what we usually see in these types of games.  I really liked the proposal of this game a lot.

I really hope you're able to get it working on Windows because I REALLY want to play it. I really like the look of it! And it's so nice to see an rpg since there are so many gay visual novels!

Does it exit after a white screen? Does it say anything? About how long does it take? OS? Enquiring minds want to know.

Well you said it doesn't work and since I only have windows I haven't purchased it yet. I will once it's confirmed playable on windows though! It looks great! :D

This game is looking simply amazing. I can't wait for future updates, but looking at your comments it seems you have a lot on your plate. Please take your time, I would hate to see you crash and burn! Take care not to overwhelm yourself and remember your health, both physical and mental, comes first! I don't mind waiting, and I am sure the rest of the growing fanbase feels the same. Can't wait to see what comes next, keep up the good work and the amazing animations!! :D

Thank you. Its keeping me busy these first three weeks. Fortunately, I'm protected from overwork by my natural laziness.

There are bugs, but I will never discourage people from reporting them. Keep the bug reports flowing, everyone, please!

Weirdly enough I cannot run  the Game via WINE (WINdows Emulator) on Linux.
If anyone has a Lutris-App-Configuration, that works, I'd highly appreciate a share.
Otherwise maybe the Dev can "bake" a native Linux Version from the Dev-Tools?
Anyway, I'll try out the Mac Version some time on my old 10.11 MacBook later.

I'm having nothing but troubles getting the game to reliably launch on Windows. OSX is stable, but I can't yet run on Catalina because of the baloney. So much baloney.

Linux is planned but delayed.

Cool, with the newest version it worked via WINE (WINdows Emulator) on Linux, too.
Only crashed once but worked the second time (obviously I got "too close" to the Mino ;-) 

Looking forward to seeing more of it, now that I could.
Maybe adjusting the "proportions" of the buff guys's "bits" would be a nice "cosmetic" update. Just saying for their bulkiness/size, they seem a little "small" in comparison in terms of their bits. ^_^

You mean the grey ones? They have some leather to wear that isn't on there too. So yeah I hope to get more in this month. I will probably put the windows launch issues on the back burner and see to added content for everyone plus another one for my neglectorinos on patreon before I run out of time.

No, it was the beige Mino, who instructs about fighting at the beginning - but it worked the second time, so I thought it might have maybe just been a "glitch" from the WINE-layer.
Unfortunately, when I went back to the room where I was falling into through the trap-door, the game crashed again and haven't played again from there yet (will there be a Save-Option at some point, so we don't need to always start again from the very beginning?).

When you say 'crashed', you mean it exited unexpectedly?

Also right now you can use F5 and F6 to go faster. Use it wisely or it can malfunction. There is a skip coming.

Interesting game, like another comment further down I got stuck in the bone pit after "training" the Minotaur, I'm assuming this is where the current build ends.

You can't even save yet. There will be a place where you save called the 'Hall of Shortcuts' later.

There is a nice skip feature, but it isn't set up yet. No saved game yet either. You can use F5 and F6 to make it go faster and slower. Try not to make it go too fast (F6 twice) or it could get ugly.

Hello, in my case, the game doesn't work at all :( When I try to open it, a white screen appears for like 2 secs and then it completely shuts down. I've already tried running it as admin but it doesn't help. I'm using Win 10 64 bit. I hope you'll be able to fix this!

Nothing at all, just the white screen. No errors or anything like that.

I've posted a new version for Windows. If it bombs on you, do me a big favor and send me the log at: C:/Users/Admin (or your user name)/AppData/Roaming/itch/apps/the-tomb-of-king-pervy/Resources (assuming you used the itchio client) or in the program's resources folder if you didn't.

If it doesn't crash, let me know please so I can take that back out of there.

Still the same problem unfortunately :( Also, it seems a bit strange but I think that the game doesn't even create a log because I can't find it in the resources folder (I'm not using the itchio client). There are only audio, fonts and textures folders and a file named 'map'.

Give it another try with a fresh download when you get the chance please.

Would love to try your game, but having problems opening it. I noticed others had the same issue with a problem notification popping up. I am using a Mac Air with macOS Big Sur, version 11.5.2. Any solutions?

Can you run other games from here? Do you know if they're all code signed?

Yes, I never had this issue with other games on itch.io. Only issues I had before is when I don't have permission to play a game, but I have been able to solve that. And about code signing, I don't know what that is so sorry!

I have confirmed that apple won't allow apps on catalina that have not been codesigned unless you jailbreak your computer.

I'll try to get that done next week. It is quite bureaucratic.

Indeed the fix works, but if I may say so, there are several bugs that either softlocks or crashes the game. I tried 4 times, and in all of them the bugs prevented me from finishing. But thank you nonetheless, I'll follow the development. :)

Thanks for letting me know. It's been out for only a day and a half, so please bear with me.

There are five cutscenes in it where you lose control for a bit. When you try to move, a red circle should show up at the bottom of the screen. Don't click on that to make it advance yet. Right now you can make it go faster or slower using F5 and F6.

If that's not the problem, please tell me more about the crashes and locks, if you have the time. PC or Mac? Can you still exit the game? Does the framerate keep updating in the upper right corner or does it freeze? Approximate location? Any clues you can give me will be appreciated and help me track it down.

Edit: I've taken the skip out for now. It's a booby trap.

I'm on Windows 10, I replayed to see if I got it to the end and the bugs that I found were:

  • When on the stairs section, jumping easily gets the character stuck on the steps or the space between the stairs and the platform. (The game and frame rate doesn't freeze; Restart needed)
  • Right before the first Minotaur encounter, is possible to shoot him on the edge of the screen, doing so breaks the sequence, which then crashes the game. (It just so happens that the player can freely shoots the gun even without the movement controllers.)
  • After the fly section, it's still possible to use the gun. Just by having the gun equipped, when the blowjob animation starts, the character graphics explode and the game crashes.

I didn't think of shooting the minotaur on the right. I just heard from another guy getting stuck on the stairs, so there's that. And the gun needs taking away. That one I left dangling. New release on Friday I think.

The release is in place. It should be better. You're beautiful for helping me with those bugs.

Some missing graphics and clobbered feet have been corrected too. It still rains on the skeleton at the beginning. I have to do a lot of work to correct it.

Can't run the game. The notification"Pervy cannot be opened because of a problem" pops up.  I'm using an Intel Mac with OS 10.15.7

Is it Intel or M1? Are you running under the itchio client? It may also be because I'm releasing a 32/64 universal, and Catalina may insist on a 64-bit app. I'll get a 64-bit release up. If the problem persists, please post again.

Please see if the 64-bit OSX version will run on Catalina. Also I'm not yet code signed. I'll try to resolve that shortly.

To answer your questions, I'm not running under the itchio client  (I don't think that works with dmg?). the 64-bit version also encounters the same problem. I'm not sure what "code signed" means, but if it's something to do with Apple's app verification, it can be bypassed on the user's end.

Thanks for the help. This might take a while. I have no way to localize the problem. If it gives you a report button or any clues, please let me know. In the meantime I'll try to get a code signature.

Well, I figured out why it wasn't launching before: it doesn't launch through the itch.io client. It needs to be downloaded directly. Though, what I don't know is why that is the case.

Hm, doesn't it update automatically? I've never tried to manually update it, but it sometimes updates when I open it.

EDIT: Just checked for updates and there weren't any.

Itchio client? I didn't know there was such a thing. Just run it as a stand-alone app for now, I'll look into the client issue. Sorry for the confusion.

That's what I call a great proof of concept! Needs polishing, especially with some physic, movements, but the story and art is quite decent.
